Payment Anomalies You can accurately and precisely calculate any loan repayment scenario by using the payment types supported by FinAlyst: interest only, principal only, fixed principal, principal and interest, miscellaneous charge and payoff.
Multiple Advances If you have a line of credit or interim financing loan, the multiple advance features of FinAlyst will allow you to accurately represent your loan.
365/360/364 Day Years FinAlyst allows any year length to correspond precisely to the loan documents.
Database All data is stored in Microsoft Access(TM) so you can import and export loan data easily. The number of loans that can be accommodated depends entirely on the size of your hard disk drive.
Wizards A special outflow (advances) and inflow (payment) wizards will guide you through the process of entering data. Multiple periodic transactions of the same amount are a snap if you use the wizard.
Payment (Inflow) Calculator The payment (of inflow) calculator supports almost any periodic payment scenario such as daily or annual payments. Long or short initial periods and interest rate adjustments are fully supported. Any combination of payment and compounding periodicity can be specified.
Interest Rate FinAlyst supports nominal or effective rates. Periodic, daily, internal rate of return and APR interest rates are calculated for each scenario.
Fixed & Variable Rates Variable rates can be specified as one of the interest rate indexes included with the program or you can enter your own index. Updates to any index can be entered using the Index Manager.
Interest Indexes Included FinAlyst includes historical numbers for over 40 of the common interest rate indexes, inflation indexes and capital gains tax rates. This saves hours of research.
Return on Investment FinAlyst will analyze any series of cash flows and determine the internal rate of return. A problem with generates multiple IRR values can be further analyzed with the NPV features.
Residual Value FinAlyst produces a graphical representation showing the residual value vs. internal rate of return so that you can determine what the return is on an investment that you still own. This is especially useful for lease analysis and in real estate investment scenarios.
Present Value/Future Value and NPV The "present value" of any series of irregular cash flows will help you evaluate an investment opportunity or capital expenditure. Future values can be used to analyze or calculate an annuity. NPV can be graphed for any date vs. the internal rate of return.
Valuation Amounts Intermediate valuation amounts can be entered for any investment so you can produce periodic and cumulative return on investment numbers.
Inflation and Tax Rates Inflation indexes allow you to investigate after inflation returns for your investments. Similarly, tax rates will allow the analysis of an investment after tax.
